Quick answer

A personal Don chicken pie cost $5 at Toa Payoh North in September 2020, $6.30 at Tyrwhitt Road in 2022 and $6.80 from 2023, which is still the price on the February 2026 menu. A whole pie, which feeds four to six, was $18 at China Square in 2008 and 2012, $28.80 in 2022 and $33.80 today.

Price questions are some of the most common ones people ask about Don Pie, and the internet answers them badly, mostly because old prices never die. Here is every dated price we could source, in one place.

How much did a Don pie cost at China Square?

The earliest figures we found are from 2008, when a food blogger listed a whole pie at $18 and a quarter at $4.60 at the China Square restaurant. A 2012 post gave the same $18 for a whole pie. Neither listed the price of a single personal pie, so we have left that cell empty rather than guess.

How much was the $5 Toa Payoh pie?

The cheapest documented personal pie is from September 2020, at the Don’s Pie & Cake stall in Toa Payoh Food Centre II: $5 for a chicken pie. That was a food-centre stall price, set when the pies had only just returned. It is one reason the Toa Payoh chapter is remembered fondly. More on the Food Centre II stall.

What happened to prices after Tyrwhitt Road opened?

At the new restaurant in 2022, reviewers recorded a personal pie at $6.30 and a whole pie at $28.80. By April 2023 those had become $6.80 and $33.80, and the February 2026 menu still shows $6.80 and $33.80. In other words, the headline price of the Original Chicken Pie has held steady for about three years.

Is $6.80 a lot for a chicken pie in Singapore?

It depends on what you compare it with. Heartland bakery chicken pies sell for much less. Cafe and hotel pies often sell for more. Pie Singapore’s price guide sets out the bands across the city, and for one well-remembered bakery that has since closed, ovenmarvel.com records what an Oven Marvel pie cost over the same years. That Sunshine Plaza bakery had no connection with Don Pie; it is simply a useful yardstick. One reviewer in 2023 thought the $6.80 personal pie was substantial for the price and noted that similar-sized pies elsewhere cost around $10. That is one opinion, and portion size is part of it: a personal pie here feeds one hungry adult.

What about the other pies?

The February 2026 menu prices Black Pepper Chicken and Chicken Shepherd’s Pie the same as the Original Chicken Pie. The Curry Pie is $6.80 personal but $38.80 whole. The Apple Pie is $8.80 and $43.80, and the Beef Pie $13.80 and $58.80. See the menu and prices guide for the full range.

Prices are as of October 2026 and come from the printed menu dated February 2026. Online and delivery prices may differ from the dine-in menu, and the ordering site only shows prices once you choose an outlet. Check the official site before you go.

Why are older Don Pie prices different?

Prices have risen over two decades, and older figures also come from different shops: China Square in the 2000s, a Toa Payoh food centre stall in 2020, and Tyrwhitt Road from 2021. Some third-party listings also show stale prices.
